A Thought From the Word

"When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall." Proverbs 29:16

Do you ever get depressed looking at the world around us? It does indeed appear that the wicked are growing in number, power and influence. Transgressions do appear to increase daily. Evil is called good, while good is called evil.

We are unable to control these things. However, we should do all that we can to be salt to the earth and light to the world. Imperative to us ought to be making sure our own way of life is not contributing to the multitude of evil. But it still is disheartening, isn't it?

The Lord gives us words of great comfort here. Yes, evil and darkness may be increasing, but God's promise is, "the righteous shall see their fall." Paul tells us in Romans 8 that we are more than conquerors through Christ. If we are followers of King Jesus, we can rest assured that the victory is ours and the outcome is sure and certain. Press on with confidence in Christ today!
